History of our Name:

1) From a case in the Brehon Druid's Moot.

I, Druid George King, also known as TDK, an unreformed Druid of Craeftgemot Witancoveyne and Bard of Draíocht, Before my honest Brehon Judges and all here in the Moot, bring forth the matter of the need for Brehon callings for, authorizations of, definitions of needed recipients, etc. For the use of Druidic Draíocht. In the defense of the Tribes, the common good of all and the support of nature by adding the Sisters of Karma in their works.
As an example the bold use in other religions of:
(fat·wa ˈfatwä, a noun
a ruling on a point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority.)

In calling for a needed action, magical or otherwise.
While I have never shied from this myself. I feel a discussion is needed. A proper term or name determined that all Brehon Druids may use in declaring a need for such actions.
I look forward to your wise counsel and the opportunity to share it in or blog, that it may be seen and used by all groves and tribes Druids and Bards that are willing brave and have need of such wisdom.
TDK

2) My Case:

While Geasa has been suggested to me, I feel it does not fit this need.

#Geas as I see it this is a contract between most often a person and god/goddess or the like. With often gains and penalties in it.

I may have laid a red herring when I mentioned Karma.
My goal is the exploration of a Druid / Brehon involved in the following actions.

A) Observing or being informed of a grievous wrong having been committed or events forming that tell of harm to Nature, Tribe, Society, or Individual.
In most cases by an individual, tribe, government, politician, business or another group of people.

B) Determining that for the good of Nature, Tribe, Society, or Individual, actions on his or her part and those that he or she may be able to influence (human or otherkin).

C) Issuing a ruling, judgment, interpretation, that actions are needed, called for and justified by the Druid / Brehon's view of Druidism, common sense old or new societal best behaviors.

D) Actions:
It is assumed that in most cases the target of any actions is not under the guidance or authority of said Druid or Brehon.
Some possible actions:

a) Shunning (not practical for most serious issues.
b) Banishment (no longer in our powers).
c) Economic boycotts, a viable call for action.
d) Call fo Protest movements, again a viable action.
e) use of our and others Druidic Draíocht, or magical actions.
Spells, Curses, Blessing, (druid rhetoric {Rosc or Rosanna magick poems} )

3) As I envision these Brehon Decisions or rulings to be only offered to the general populations on severe issues.
Erick is looking better and better to me.

>>Of the softness of the Brehon Code, the Englishman Sir John Davies wrote:
"For whereas by the just and honourable law of England, and by the laws of all other well-governed kingdoms and commonwealths, murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery and theft are punished with death; by the Irish custom, or Brehon law, the highest of these offences was punished only by fine, which they call an erick."<<
